Olivetti launches new range of flat bed inkjet printers and photo printers

MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 23, 2006) - Olivetti, arguably Europe's largest manufacturer of office products and an acknowledged world leader in inkjet technology is launching a new range of flat bed printers and photo printers that challenge current market thinking and sweep aside the limitations of competing manufacturers' products.

Priced between GBP 39.99 and GBP 119.99, the new products respond to the growing use of digital cameras in the professional and leisure markets which has in turn given rise to huge sales of printers that use the camera's flash card, link direct to the camera or via a computer to generate hard copies of the captured images. Whilst some manufacturers rushed to market with an array of models that were usually superceded within months, Olivetti have used their greater technical and corporate strength to produce a line that simply cannot be bettered. The R & D programme has been intense and expensive but confidence is so great that Olivetti have already committed an additional 200 million euros to further investment within this highly competitive market sector.

The Any-Way range consists of no less than 4 multi-function models. Blue Tooth and Wi-Fi integration enables users to exploit the new technologies to full effect. They are user friendly standalone units which can be linked to a PC if required. The high end models boast 6-colour printing for true photo quality results. Prices start at just GBP 39.99

The My-Way model is a fully portable unit which can be run off mains power, integral batteries or a 12V car cigarette lighter, enabling prints to be output wherever they might be required. This really is an autonomous little unit with power to spare and superb quality output. It has integrated Blue Tooth connectivity, a carrying handle for easy transportation and a clever paper cartridge which attaches to the bottom of the unit. The MY_WAY portable is priced at GBP 79.99. All models will be available in Argos stores from early 2006.
