Olmstead Williams Communications Makes Top Public Relations List of Los Angeles Business Journal

Founded in 2008, OWC Youngest Firm Selected

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 11, 2011) - Los Angeles-based Olmstead Williams Communications (OWC), a business-to-business public relations and social media firm that focuses on technology and professional services, has been named one of the 20 largest PR agencies in L.A. County by the Los Angeles Business Journal. The firm earned the No. 16 spot on the list, which ranked agencies by their 2010 county fee income, and is also the youngest agency to make this year's ranking.

President and CEO Tracy Olmstead Williams, who has more than 25 years of public relations and crisis communications expertise, founded the firm in late 2008. OWC has a client roster that includes big-four accounting firm Ernst & Young, interpretation industry leader Language Line Services, wealth management firm Whittier Trust, clean technology innovator FlexEnergy, cloud computing pioneer Cloudworks, a number of law firms and additional technology and financial services companies.

According to the Los Angeles Business Journal, OWC generated $1.4 million in fee income in 2010. The publication also ranked OWC ninth on its "Big Earners" list, with an average of $200,000 in fee income per account executive.

Since December, the firm has secured three new clients as it continues to grow. OWC also expanded its professional team by hiring managing associate Kaitlen Murphy in January 2011 to help oversee the new accounts. Murphy has more than 10 years experience in public relations, marketing and event planning at agencies in Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and has worked for such clients as LeapFrog, IBM, Ray-Ban and Dos Equis.
