The family-owned Omaha Steaks does its utmost to make shopping extremely convenient and has succeeded at doing so through its ecommerce site. However, as more customers took to Facebook, Omaha Steaks soon found that it had gathered more than 150,000 "Omaha Steaks Facebook family members." With a goal to consistently exceed customer expectations, Omaha Steaks quickly began looking for a way to add an additional experience to bring customers together. Building a retail store directly within Facebook was a key component of the strategy.
