OmniJoin(TM) From Brother Used in International Space Communication

Brother's OmniJoin(TM) Web Conferencing Service Broadcasted the Communication Between JAXA Astronaut Koichi Wakata and Young Astronauts Club


BRIDGEWATER, NJ--(Marketwired - Feb 18, 2014) - Brother Industries, Ltd., and President Toshikazu Koike, announced that the company's web conferencing system, OmniJoin™, was used at the 'Konica Minolta Presents YAC Tenku Future Class 2014,' an event held by the Young Astronauts Club - Japan (YAC). The event was held to teach the significance of space exploration to children at seven different venues across Japan who attended 'Konica Minolta Presents YAC Tenku Future Class 2014.' The children communicated with Astronaut Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), who was on a mission at the International Space Station, in real-time by using OmniJoin™ web conferencing, Brother's high-resolution and high-quality audio web conferencing system.
