Omniture Announces SiteCatalyst Widget for Greater Access to Web Analytics Data

Newest Innovation Makes Reports, Dashboards and Bookmarks More Readily Available

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - October 21, 2008) - eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit -- Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider of online business optimization software, announced today at the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit, the SiteCatalyst Widget, a new capability from Omniture that allows SiteCatalyst reports, dashboards and bookmarks to be shared and published anywhere as widgets, including iGoogle pages, the Google Toolbar, Windows Live and the Yahoo! Desktop. In addition, the SiteCatalyst Widget can be added to any Web site, including intranet pages.

"Widgets are gaining widespread use and the business application of widgets is increasingly making an impact," said Jim Sterne, founder of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit. "With the SiteCatalyst Widget, Omniture is making Web analytics ubiquitous throughout businesses, allowing them to make more informed decisions."

The SiteCatalyst Widget benefits users by publishing the reports, dashboards and bookmarks that they most closely watch on the Web pages and desktop programs they use the most. For example, a CMO may have a SiteCatalyst Widget displaying up-to-the-minute views of the number of sales leads being generated within a Web page they have constantly open on their screen.

"We've found that real-time Web analytics are most effective when used throughout an organization to make strategic decisions and quickly act on information," said Brett Error, chief technology officer and senior vice president of products at Omniture. "It is critical that everyone -- from the C-level executive to the Web analytics manager -- have frequent access to their most important business metrics. SiteCatalyst Widget allows our customers to keep their key business metrics front and center by integrating reporting into the portals, intranets, and Web applications with which they already interact throughout the day."
