Omniture Introduces Industry's First Professional Web Analytics and Online Business Optimization Certification

Omniture Certified Professional Program Will Provide an Added Level of Credentials for Online Marketing Professionals

OREM, UT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 12, 2007 -- Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider of online business optimization software, today introduced the industry's first certifications for Web analytics and online business optimization professionals. The Omniture Certified Professional designation will attest to a professional's skills, knowledge and abilities with implementing, using and improving business success using Omniture products.

The Omniture certification training and online testing will be provided for the first time at next week's Omniture Summit 2007 in Salt Lake City. The certification testing will be provided free of charge to more than 800 online marketing professionals attending Omniture Summit 2007.

"We applaud Omniture's launch of a certification program for its online business optimization solutions," said Jim Sterne, founding president of the Web Analytics Association. "It's exciting to witness the industry maturing as the Web becomes the most strategic marketing communication channel. The Web Analytics Association is also working on certification programs for Web analytics professionals. It takes business acumen and technical skills and both efforts dovetail nicely in delivering the education and training marketers need to increase the value they can directly contribute to their organizations."

At its introduction, there are two certifications around the industry's leading online business optimization software, Omniture SiteCatalyst®. The SiteCatalyst certification will include the basics of navigation, as well as various reports, events, and metrics. Professionals can best prepare for this exam by participating in Omniture University's two-day SiteCatalyst user training.

The second certification focuses on SiteCatalyst implementation and is a two-part exam that requires a technical aptitude for working with code and capturing relevant business data for use in SiteCatalyst and other Omniture solutions. Omniture University's three-day advanced SiteCatalyst Implementation course, hands-on implementation experience, and prior coding is helpful for gaining this certification.

"In today's competitive environment, online marketers are looking for a way to distinguish themselves with current or potential employers," said Steve Wellen, vice president of client services at Omniture. "The Omniture certification will assure businesses that the professionals they are hiring or staff they have in place have the highest levels of expertise. We encourage individuals that regularly use or plan to use Omniture solutions to gain these respected credentials."

The first Omniture certification exams will be administered free of charge to individuals attending Omniture Summit 2007 from March 14-15. Following Omniture Summit 2007, the certification exams will be made generally available to individuals beginning in May. Pricing for the exams will be announced at that time.
