Oncology Med Signs New Multiple Year Contract With University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

Oncology Med Steps Up the Pace of Securing New And Ongoing Contracts With New Clients For Provision of Services

PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwire - September 21, 2007) - Oncology Med, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ONCO), a Pittsburgh-based cancer treatment solutions group, announced today that it has signed a new multiple year contract with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) to provide physics services and staff to two of UPMC's cancer treatment centers.

According to William Walker, Ph.D., Oncology Med's CEO and founder, "This new contract is just one of many that we hope to announce to our shareholders and the investor community over the next several quarters. We are aggressively seeking new clients and contracted sites, as well as, expanding our portfolio of offered clinical and consulting services to broaden our client base," Walker continued.

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is a major non-profit hospital and cancer treatment system affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh which provides referrals and coverage to most of western Pennsylvania. Its multiple site cancer treatment centers treat over 30,000 patients each year.

As part of its commitment to cancer care throughout the tri-state area, UPMC Cancer Centers provide access to advanced technologies at many of its community sites. These new technologies include, among others, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) -- both innovative technologies that allow for precise tumor imaging and radiation treatment delivery.

"While most major hospital systems do have their own internal cancer physics department and staff, Oncology Med is seeing a substantial increase in the number of hospitals contracting those services either wholly or in part to outside agencies such as ours to meet the growing demands of staff and technology as radiation treatment expands to be the key treatment of choice for most cancer patients," Walker stated.

Oncology Med's depth of staff, expertise, and technological advanced planning systems position the company to be sought out by hospitals, medical centers, and cancer centers who seek to expand and/or improve services without the burden and cost of bringing on additional internal staff that are not fully necessary or which lack the experience and expertise of those provided through Oncology Med.

In addition to Oncology Med's physics staffing and support, Oncology Med provides extensive consultation services for new and expanded cancer center construction, certification, and credentialing processes for Joint Commission, as well as, a complete turnkey approach for continuation or implementation of brachytherapy radiation seed implant treatment programs for ambulatory surgery centers, radiation oncologists, urologists, and hospitals.

All inquiries for Oncology Med's programs and services should be made to its administrative offices at: Oncology Med, Inc., 11928 Ropp Lane, Lovettsville, VA 20180. Phone: (540) 822-5161.
