MONTEBELLO, NY--(Marketwire - Sep 13, 2011) - Philip Podmore is taking on the role of CEO with daily hands-on management responsibility for the company he founded, Oncology Services International (OSI). Bill Yaeger, the company's previous CEO, is rejoining his prior employer, Elekta, in a senior management position. During Yaeger's tenure, Podmore served on the Board of Directors and was directly involved with IT projects.
Podmore founded Accelinear Service Company in 1985, followed by a 2003 merger that resulted in the formation of Oncology Services International. In addition to 14 years as an electronics apprentice with the Royal Air Force, Podmore has over 30 years of experience in the radiation industry, holding positions at Philips Medical Systems and the Joint Centre in Boston.
Podmore emphasized that the change in management will have no effect on the operational aspects of the business.
