One Source Networks Expands in South America With GlobeNet

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - May 12, 2014) - One Source Networks (OSN), the cloud and managed services partner of choice for large enterprises, today announced its partnership with GlobeNet, a wholesale provider of Latin American data network services, to provide connectivity for customers doing business in Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia.

This announcement follows the launch of OSN's network point of presence (PoP) in Bogotá, Colombia, one of five new global PoPs the company has recently deployed worldwide. It will be followed by the launch of a node in São Paulo, Brazil. By leveraging GlobeNet's high capacity network infrastructure, OSN will expand connectivity throughout the region, over which the company will deliver managed network and voice services, and enable solutions such as Unified Communications.

"We look forward to the value that our partnership with GlobeNet will deliver," commented Ernest Cunningham, CEO of One Source Networks. "Emerging markets such as Brazil and Colombia comprise some of the most dynamic economies today. At OSN, we are committed to providing our customers with the next-generation services they require to gain a competitive advantage in these regions and on a global basis."

With the highest growth rate in Internet subscribers coupled with rapidly growing mobile penetration, Latin America presents a growing market opportunity for OSN's enterprise customers. The establishment of a local market presence enables One Source Networks to expand its connectivity with regional telecom partners and expand its service offerings.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with One Source Networks, a company that shares our vision for high-quality, flexible connectivity solutions, backed by a superior customer experience," said Erick Contag, President and COO of GlobeNet. "GlobeNet's experience and strong relationships in the LATAM region are crucial to providers like One Source Networks, that want to quickly deploy low latency, secure connectivity. We look forward to working with them further as they continue to expand their reach throughout South America."

OSN expects to complete deployment of its Brazil PoP during the second half of 2014.
