One World Sports Secures Exclusive North American Rights for Korea's K-League Soccer

SINGAPORE and DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - One World Sports, an international sports network with a focus on Asia, has secured exclusive North American rights to South Korea's K-League soccer under terms of an agreement signed with World Sport Group.

An exclusive television Game-of-the-Week will be presented for each round of the K-League season, which runs for 30 weeks, and ends October 30. Games will be available on television, broadband and mobile.

The Korea Professional Football League (K-League) is South Korea's top professional soccer league and has a proven history of excellence, with four of the league's 16 teams competing in the 2011 AFC Champions League: FC Seoul, Jeju United, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

The K-League is the country's highest and most prestigious level of soccer competition. An example of their veracity and skill is a game played in 2009 against Manchester United. Manchester United came from behind in a hard fought battle to defeat FC Seoul 3-2, proving the Korean players had reached a globally competitive level. The popularity of soccer has exploded in Korea with the 2011 K-League stadium attendance growing 138 percent since 2010.
