OnePoint Patient Care Announces Significant Growth and Further National Expansion of Its Hospice Pharmacy Services

Demand for OnePoint's Fully-Integrated PBM/Local Pharmacy Offering and Reputation for Highest-Level Service Continues to Fuel Its National Growth

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 12, 2014) - OnePoint Patient Care, a national hospice pharmacy services provider, has recently transitioned more than 5,000 new hospice patients to its services, contributing to its continued eight-year run of 20 percent compounded annual growth rate. OnePoint expects to add more than 15 new hospice partners serving more than 18,000 patients by the end of this year -- a surge in growth brought on by increasing demand from hospices for its fully-integrated pharmacy benefits management (PBM), local pharmacy and mail-order pharmacy capabilities and its reputation for superior service.

As part of this growth, OnePoint will open local dispensing pharmacies in four new markets later this year: Orlando, Fla., northern California, southern California, and Dallas, Texas. These additional local pharmacies will extend OnePoint's ability to provide hospice programs its unique suite of PBM, local dispensing and mail-order services, as well as the expert clinical support and innovative information technology applications that are its hallmark.

"Our greatest source of new business is referrals from existing hospice partners, which tells us we are doing things right," said Jeffrey Hohl, OnePoint's chief executive officer. "The cornerstone of our model is superior service and reliability, and we provide these benefits to hospices of all shapes and sizes by enhancing patient care, streamlining processes and lowering costs. We are excited to provide these benefits to a growing number of hospice programs in the near future."

"Hospice is our sole focus, and we are the only remaining independently owned and financially stable national pharmacy serving the hospice market," said James Otterbeck, OnePoint's chairman. "With this deep knowledge of the hospice market and the direct input of our hospice partners, we have developed a pharmacy services model that combines the at-your-fingertips benefits of a local pharmacy with the strength and reliability of an established national provider with a network of locations around the country. We are committed to continuing this high level of service and collaboration with our hospice partners, and we look forward to welcoming other hospice programs into the OnePoint Patient Care family very soon."
