OnePoint Patient Care's Sophisticated Technology Platform Attracts Five New Hospices to Its Growing List of Hospice Partners

Integrated Patient Care Applications Help Increase Nurse Effectiveness and Patient Care While Saving Hospices Time, Money

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 31, 2013) - OnePoint Patient Care, a national hospice pharmacy services provider, announced today it has recently begun providing same-day or next-day local medication dispensing and delivery and pharmacy benefits management (PBM) services to five new hospice partners. As part of these services, these hospices now have access to a sophisticated suite of hospice pharmacy technology applications OnePoint developed to help hospices improve efficiency and enhance patient care.

These five new OnePoint hospice partners are:

  • Community Hospice Care (Southfield, Mich.)
  • Assured Hospice (Southfield, Mich.)
  • Genesis Hospice (Bettendorf, Iowa)
  • Community Hospice (Longview/Vancouver, Wash.)
  • Hospice & Palliative Care of Washington County (Hillsboro, Ore.)

In the past month, OnePoint has announced the addition of six other new hospices to its roster of hospice partners, including Hospice of Michigan, the largest non-profit hospice in Michigan. OnePoint now serves more than 125 hospices in 22 states.

OnePoint has long been a technology innovator in the hospice pharmacy services field. OnePoint's integrated patient care applications provide near real-time reporting capabilities; 24-hour access to dispensing, clinical and administrative data; and the ability to place orders and manage patient status electronically -- all greatly streamlining previously time-consuming processes and helping caregivers care for patients more effectively.

"Working with OnePoint provides our hospice many benefits, but what really stands out are the patient care technology applications," said David Turner, chief executive officer of Community Hospice Care in Southfield, Mich. "With these applications, we have greatly improved our efficiency and are able to make better informed and prompt decisions about how to care for patients and manage our organization."
