Onestop Launches Twitter Program in TTC

Onestop Media Group launches “Stroll City” an arts and cultural Twitter project on TTC subway platform screens

Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, Assignment Editor, Books Editor, City Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, PRESS RELEASE--(Marketwire - Sept. 23, 2010) - Onestop Media Group (Onestop) and Art for Commuters are partnering with Coach House Books to bring an interactive Twitter project to over one million daily commuters on Toronto's subway platforms. Author Shawn Micallef will be tweeting his thoughtful impressions of minutiae in Toronto as part of Stroll City, running September 21 to October 5. For just 2 weeks Micallef is adopting the twitter handle StrollCity. Torontians are encouraged to tweet back to @StrollCity and their responses can be seen, along with Micallef's tweets, every ten minutes on hundreds of Onestop's TTC subway platform digital displays.

Micallef explains, "I've been tweeting out short observations of the city for a while now, so this is a really neat progression (and perhaps amplification) of what I've been doing all along. I hope people who read the tweets will simply get excited about the city and start paying attention to it in whatever way they want. Hopefully this gets people looking, and thinking-and tweeting back! I don't want it just to be my observations up on that screen."
