BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 16, 2008) - The sixth annual Wainhouse Research CSP (collaboration service provider) Summit will be held on Monday, October 27th at the Hilton Boston Logan hotel. A sub-conference focused on Telecom Fraud will be held the following morning. Monday's daylong event will explore how collaboration service providers can poise themselves for growth while expanding the perception and value of their services within the enterprise and will feature expert speakers presenting a wide array of topics. The day is also intended to provide an unparalleled opportunity for guests to network with peers and technology partners in collaboration services.

Presenting at this year's conference are 16 experts including Marisa Viveros of IBM who will present "Do Not Try this at Home! Unified Communications are Catching On: How You Can Make it Easier." Also scheduled for the conference is Dr. Tilman Becker of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence who will explain how CSPs can drive new revenue during his presentation titled, "Beyond the Conversation, How Emerging Technologies Can Engage More Participants in the Call." Wainhouse Research Senior Analyst Will Zachmann will also be part of the line up as he discusses Enterprise Social Networks and the ESN Hosted/Managed Opportunity.

In addition to these three speakers, other topics to be covered by representatives from Powwownow, Ring2, 1CT, Intercall and Subex Ltd. include the FCC's Universal Service Fund decision on CSPs and what it will mean to CSPs, the scope of fraud in the industry, and the emerging opportunity in mobile services. Sponsors Compunetix, IBM, Pactolus, Polycom, RadiSys, Upswing 360 and Vidyo will also present information on the latest technologies and products as they relate to CSPs.

While the topic of telecom fraud will be discussed during the general conference, the issue will be further explored during a half-day sub-conference to be held on Tuesday, October 28th. Marc Beattie, the Managing Partner at Wainhouse Research and Thomas Walker, a Principal at Subex Limited, will help attendees understand the extent of this widespread and costly problem. This open discussion will explore how the CSP industry, as a group, can address telecom fraud which is costing the industry millions of dollars each year.
