Online Construction Management Software Now Vista-Ready

Assures Logs and Other Formatted Documents Will Function Correctly

FREMONT, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 17, 2007 --The Construction Communicator™ (www.constructioncommunicator.com) online construction management software is now compatible with Microsoft's new Internet Explorer 7 browser and Vista operating system.

Construction Communicator helps owners, contractors and architects manage the construction documents that affect the day-to-day progress of the job. Specifically, this online software helps the construction team manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, Architect's Supplemental Instructions (ASIs), Construction Change Directives (CCDs), payment applications and other contract administration documents.

Vista compatibility will become increasingly important as businesses replace older equipment with newer Windows PCs, according to Richard Sampson, president of Richard Sampson Associates, developers of Construction Communicator.

Microsoft's new browser for Vista, Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), renders some web pages differently than IE6 does in a Windows XP environment. Web pages that are formatted with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and designed for IE6 can appear different in a Vista environment. This means that scrollable tables for RFI and other logs might not function correctly unless they are updated to be compatible with Vista's IE7 technology.

"For a time period, online web-based systems that require a browser for viewing will need to be compatible with both IE6 and 7," said Sampson. "Businesses will need to choose software that can function equally well in either environment, to assure they will be able to easily communicate with all team members, including subcontractors and consultants."

Pricing

Pricing for the Construction Communicator subscription service is based on the number of users. Three pricing levels are offered to suit smaller (maximum of 15 users), mid-sized (maximum of 49 users) and larger (maximum of 100 users) organizations. Charges cover licensing, maintenance, technical support and Internet hosting.
