About PCI

Visa and MasterCard have introduced the PCI Data Security Standard for all entities that accept credit card payments -- whether brick and mortar, MOTO or ecommerce. Effective June 30, 2005, companies that have not met these new standards may be subject to fines and prohibited from accepting credit card transactions completely. A Qualified Independent PCI Scanning Vendor, ScanAlert has developed a unique four-step process that makes the PCI process understandable and easy-to-complete so companies can produce a Report on Compliance accepted by any bank in the world. All HyperConX customers should be compliant by June 30th in order to meet the Visa/MasterCard deadline.

About HACKER SAFE Certification

ScanAlert conducts comprehensive daily security audits of ecommerce infrastructure and then certifies the security of it in real-time by allowing the HACKER SAFE certification mark to appear only when a site's current status meets the highest published government industry standards. ScanAlert certifies the ongoing application of patches, and as long as the site remains secure, continually serves a HACKER SAFE certification mark directly to the retailer's web site from ScanAlert's network. In scientific A/B testing by more than 150 online retailers, including national chain stores, HACKER SAFE certification increased sales conversions an average of 14% compared to the control.
