Only One Sudbury Start in February

GREATER SUDBURY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 8, 2012) - According to preliminary data released today by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, there was only one housing start in the Greater Sudbury Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) in February, unchanged from last year.

"The one unit in February brings the year-to-date total in Sudbury to eight units, down from 11 for the first two months last year. Again, thus far in 2012, semi-detached units are finding favour with prospective new home buyers," said Warren Philp, CMHC's Northern Ontario Market Analyst.
