Only Yesterday Association Announces Play and Gala Events Will Benefit Farha Foundation for HIV/AIDS Research

Jeanne White-Ginder, mother of AIDS teen activist Ryan White, confirms participation

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 8, 2006) - Only Yesterday Association today announced that it will donate 100% of profits from its upcoming play and gala fundraising event to the Farha Foundation in support of HIV/AIDS research. The production of its inaugural play, Only Yesterday, will be performed on January 11th, 12th and 13th 2007, at John Abbott College's Casgrain Theatre located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue just outside of Montreal. A fundraising gala dinner, including a silent auction, will also be held at the Delta Montreal Hotel on January 14th. Ms. Jeanne White-Ginder, mother of renowned teenaged AIDS activist Ryan White is scheduled to attend this gala event. The Association's goal is to raise between $ 50 000 and $ 100 000 for the Farha Foundation.

Inspired by true events, Only Yesterday portrays the life of Chris, a recovering addict, who discovers that he is infected with HIV. It is a story which moves through time to show how the protagonist struggles to survive and find love with Mike, and how they deal with living with HIV together. Aimed at an adult audience, Only Yesterday is a play about love, coming-out, dealing with the past and moving on.

"Only Yesterday is a very personal project, as the play is based on my own experiences", explains Christopher Tyson Trinque, founder of Only Yesterday Association and playwright for the company's inaugural production. "My hope is that exposing my life story on stage will serve as a reminder that HIV/AIDS hasn't gone away. It continues to be a serious matter which requires our attention."

Tickets for the Only Yesterday play are $15 for students and $30 for adults. Admission to the January 14th gala event and silent auction is $150 per person. Tickets for both events can be purchased at Admission offices located at 980 Cherrier Street in Montreal, by telephone at (514) 790-1245 or online at
