OASIS Applauds 2016 Budget

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - February 26, 2016) - Today, OASIS member agencies are proud to reaffirm our commitment to serving Ontario's most vulnerable, and helping build awareness of how all Ontarians can lead vibrant lives fully integrated into the life of the province.

"The 2016 Budget contains important provisions to raise assistance by 1.5% for people who have disabilities and rely on the Ontario Disability Support Program," said David Barber, OASIS president. "This is a positive step. The Government of Ontario must now consider how the DS sector can be included within an integrated strategy to address poverty and the need for accessible and affordable housing."
