Ontario Place Welcomes New General Manager

John Tracogna named new Ontario Place General Manager

Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, News Editor, Travel/Tourism Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, MEDIA ADVISORY--(Marketwire - May 7, 2008) - Ontario Place, today announced the selection of John Tracogna as the successful candidate in its search for a new General Manager. John will assume the General Manager's role on June 16 and will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the lakefront attraction.

"As the new General Manager, John brings great experience and new ideas to an integral piece of Toronto's waterfront. Mr. Tracogna has a wealth of senior leadership experience in both policy operations, strategic planning, and developing sustainable partnerships with both the public and private sectors. For the past six years, John has served as Director, Toronto International Tourism, with the City of Toronto.
John is an accomplished executive with leadership experience in Economic Development, Special Events and Tourism with the municipalities of Brampton and Toronto.
