Ontario Plowmen's Association-IPM 2010: The Last Day

ST. THOMAS, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 25, 2010) - 2010 Queen of the Furrow, Melissa Sparling's reign draws to an end and the new 2011 Queen Tammy Fischer, begins her new duties. The plowing awards have been handed out (see winners at www.plowingmatch.org). Crowds of enthusiastic people have visited the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) in St. Thomas, Ontario; watching the plowing competitions, touring the enormous Tented City and watching a varied array of entertainment.

Saturday is the last day of the IPM but there is still so much to see and do beginning with a Closing Day parade. People will crowd around the Ram Truck Corral to see the many different horse spectaculars, be delighted by the Dog Agility Show, cheer on the West Coast Logging Team, watch the Junior Plowing competition, taste local foods and watch celebrity chefs prepare local foods.

At 4:00 o'clock people will gather in front of the Main Stage to see the hoopla of sights and sounds which will herald the end of another successful IPM. Flags will be handed over to the Prescott-Russell 2011 IPM Committees as they prepare for next year's IPM near the Ottawa/Quebec border.

Ontario, yours to discover.
