The Ontario SPCA Seeks the Public's Assistance After Three Puppies Were Found Dead on the Dock at the Gravenhurst Wharf

GRAVENHURST, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2012) - The Ontario SPCA is seeking the public's assistance in a case of suspected animal cruelty. Three dead puppies were found on the dock at the Gravenhurst Wharf. The puppies appear to be about a week old with wood shavings found in their mouths, and were stacked neatly on the dock.

The Ontario SPCA is appealing to any witnesses to come forward as investigators try to determine the events that led up to the discovery of the puppies.

"The Ontario SPCA continues to encourage everyone to be responsible animal owners," says Senior Inspector Steve Toy. "Anyone that has a challenge caring for an animal is encouraged to contact their local Ontario SPCA, Humane Society, or veterinarian for advice and options that are available to ensure the animal gets the care it requires."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ontario SPCA investigators at 1-888-668-7722 or email cruelty@ontariospca.ca.
