OPC's Potassium Carbonate Has Been Confirmed as Being a Global & Industry First at 99%+ Purity by SGS, the Industry Leader in Verification & Testing Services

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 17, 2012) - Organic Potash Corporation (CNSX:GOP) ("OPC" or the "Corporation") is extremely pleased to announce that the first batch of Potassium Carbonate that OPC's K2 processing plant produced has been confirmed and verified as being 99%+ in purity by SGS the industry leader in verification and testing services (www.sgs.com).

Trace amounts of lead (Pb), Nickel (Ni), Arsenic (As) normally found in K2CO3 produced from mined potash were not detected (less than 0.005%) in the K2 sample provided.

It was confirmed that the K2 Potassium Carbonate sample that OPC provided was 99.4% in purity.
