OPEL International Retains W.T. Blase & Associates, Inc.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 18, 2008) - OPEL International, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:OPL) ("OPEL" or the "Company"), a leading global developer and supplier of high concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) and other solar products, today announced that it has made a change in marketing firms and has retained the services of W.T. Blase & Associates, Inc. to undertake various media relations and market positioning-related activities for a period of 12 months.

W.T. Blase & Associates, Inc. is located in New York, New York and is a marketing consulting firm specializing in the development of striking new approaches to market positioning through media relations, marketing communications, and strategic market planning. Blase & Associates, Inc.'s mandate is to work with the executive management team to enhance OPEL's profile with existing and potential customers and investors through news releases, industry conferences and events, web site review, press interviews and articles, and specialized promotion of the firm.

W.T. Blase & Associates was founded in 1990 and incorporated in the State of New York. OPEL is pleased to begin its alliance with the firm. W.T. Blase & Associates will be paid a monthly fee for routine investor relations services, which will not exceed $100,000 on an annual basis, in addition to its out-of-pocket expenses. Other special services will be provided on an as-needed basis and will be billed at the going rate. The contract can be terminated by either party, at any time after the first 90 days, upon receipt of 60 days written notice. The agreement is renewable upon mutual agreement by both parties.
