Leon M. Pierhal, CEO of OPEL, said, "We are pleased to be partnering with Atomic in our public relations efforts. We believe that Atomic's relationships and insights into the capital markets and the high tech semiconductor industry will be beneficial to building relationships with analysts and the appropriate business and technology media. This partnership is another component of our stated strategy to enhance POET technology's outreach to a targeted investment and high tech community. As our business is now strictly focused on POET technology, we look forward to working closely with Atomic to ensure that we are effectively communicating OPEL's strategy, milestones and successes to the proper audiences, in order to maximize shareholder value and expand our overall profile."
"We are excited to begin work with OPEL to communicate their vision for the future of the Company and the semiconductor industry more widely," said Andy Getsey, CEO of Atomic. "Our unique analytics-based approach and related experience put us in a position to make an impact quickly, across traditional mediums, digital and social media."
Atomic will be providing the said services starting February 25, 2013, and services continue until either party notifies the other of termination of the agreement with 45 days notice. Atomic will be paid up to $15,000 per month plus administrative and travel expenses as required. Atomic is completely at arm's length to the Company and has no direct or indirect interest, and no intention to acquire any interest, in the securities of OPEL.
