BOSTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 10, 2007 -- OpenAir today announced its award-winning
Professional Services Automation (PSA) application has been selected for a
second year in a row as a finalist for the Software & Information Industry
Associate (SIIA) CODiE awards.
OpenAir was nominated this year in the newly created category of "Best
Professional Services Solution."
Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards are the longest-running awards
program in the software and information industry to acknowledge the most
innovative products and services. SIIA, which presents the awards, is the
principal trade association for the software and digital content industry.
Nearly 1,000 product nominations were submitted for CODiE Awards in 63
categories.
"The 20th annual CODiE Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best
of the software, content and education technology industries," said Ken
Wasch, SIIA President. "When one considers the number of outstanding
companies that competed this year, being named a CODiE Awards finalist is a
significant achievement."
The CODiE Awards finalists were selected by judges, including software and
information industry trade journalists, national technology writers and
analysts, and education technology specialists. The final round of judging
will be conducted by members of SIIA, making this the only peer-review
awards program in the industry.
"OpenAir's continued recognition by SIIA is something that we're incredibly
proud of," said Morris Panner, CEO of OpenAir. "SIIA is on the front lines
of software innovation. That they selected us as a finalist is a powerful
validation of our industry leading position."
OpenAir's PSA application helps project-based organizations increase
profits through improving resource utilization and enabling more efficient
project management. More than 250 companies and more than 28,000
subscribers use OpenAir to manage all aspects of their global services
business, including resource staffing, project management and billing.
OpenAir joins Hewlett-Packard, Adobe, Salesforce.com and others as a repeat
finalist for the CODiE awards.
The 2007 CODiE awards will be presented at the Palace Hotel in San
Francisco on April 17, 2007.
