GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - Jul 8, 2011) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources Europe (Galway, Ireland) -- The past month has seen contrasting news about incinerator projects in Ireland. On a positive note, Indaver Ireland (Dun Laoghaire, Dublin) has begun test runs on the 200,000-tonne-per-year incinerator in Duleek, County Meath. The EUR 130 million ($188 million) plant is scheduled to be fully operational by September and will supply 15 megawatts (MW) of electricity to the grid, while 2 MW will be used onsite. The plant is Ireland's first municipal waste incinerator.
