Optaros Responds to Increasing Demand in United Kingdom, Announces London Office Success

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 20, 2008) - Optaros Inc., assemblers of Next Generation Internet (NGI) applications, announced growth in its U.K. open source consulting practice, with three new clients in the third quarter alone. Optaros' reputation for delivering quality solutions has resulted in global growth, including greater presence in the U.K. market.

Optaros assembles solutions that create visibility and drive sales in the highly competitive retail and online media markets. Since launching its London open source consulting office, Optaros has secured repeat business with several clients following completion of initial projects.

"Companies worldwide are seeing the benefits of using open source to help them leverage rich Internet applications across their businesses," says Peter Short, managing director, U.K. Optaros. "Establishing an open source consulting office in the U.K. gives us the opportunity to provide area clients with increased local support."

Working with clients like Cision, a global provider of media monitoring, research, distribution and evaluation services for PR professionals, Optaros' open source consulting practice encourages clients to embrace thought-leading business models and opportunities that drive awareness and increase revenue.

"Optaros shares an apparent and vested interest in Cision's success and the opening of the London office streamlines this partnership," says Edward Bird, director of strategy and marketing at Cision. "They are leading our organization with new, collaborative Web 2.0 tools that enable our clients to better communicate and engage with their key stakeholders. We value the method in which Optaros effectively shares their social media expertise in such a transparent nature, ensuring that the solution will deliver value to our company well after the completion of the project."

Optaros received a third round of funding in June totaling $12 million to introduce new open source consulting offerings and expand reach into new markets. The London office enhances Optaros' established European presence in Bucharest, Geneva, Munich and Zurich.
