BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 13, 2011) - Optaros, an eCommerce solution provider, has appointed John Polcari to the position of senior vice president of North American sales and global marketing. In this role, Polcari will be responsible for leading the company's global strategy to package and deliver best-in-class social commerce solutions that drive increased value for clients.

Polcari brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to Optaros. Prior to joining the company, Polcari served as senior vice president of sales at e-Dialog, an integrated digital marketing services provider within the GSI Commerce Global Marketing Services division. In this role, he successfully negotiated long-term partnerships with more than 35 top online retailers, including: Officemax, Nike, CVS, Comcast, American Airlines and the Washington Post.
Polcari's previous roles included senior vice president of sales at BeNow/Epsilon and vice president of corporate development at Genesys Conferencing. He has also held senior-level national sales and marketing positions with Hill Holliday Advertising, American Express and GE Capital.
Polcari received his Bachelor of Arts in politics and international relations from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. He then attended advanced management studies at Harvard University and the executive Master of Business Administration program at the University of Notre Dame.
