Optimal, Inc. Appoints Patrick Toland as Chief Revenue Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 13, 2012) - Optimal, Inc., the leading social media advertising and audience data platform, today announced that Patrick Toland has joined the company as chief revenue officer. In his new role, Toland will be responsible for driving Optimal's revenue growth and leading the company's sales strategy.

Toland has extensive experience building leading Internet businesses in marketing, business development and product management roles. Most recently, Toland was senior vice president and managing director of North America at UK-based social marketing agency TBG Digital. He was responsible for all aspects of TBG's North American business including sales, client service and campaign execution. In this role he also drove many of the operational and strategic shifts that established TBG Digital as one of the largest third-party buyers of Facebook advertising.

Toland also was co-founder and vice president of business development at Incentive Networks, a private-label, merchant-funded, online loyalty program for affinity and membership organizations which was acquired by WebLoyalty in 2008. Prior to Incentive Networks, Toland worked as director of business development at Schoolpop where he managed a sales team responsible for all company revenue. He also led business development as director of strategic accounts at Digital River, and director of Snap! and BuyDirect's business development at CNET Networks.
