Optoma Neo-i iPod Dock Named as CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Award Honoree

First iPod Docking Device With Built-In Pico Video Projector

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 10, 2010) -  Optoma, the best-selling brand of DLP projectors worldwide, has been named an International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its new Neo-i, the first product to combine an iPod® sound dock with a built-in Pico video projector. The Neo-i was selected from among hundreds of consumer electronics products across 35 product categories entered in the annual industry program, which is judged by a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and journalists and recognizes outstanding cutting-edge design and engineering.

"Being a CES Innovations Honoree is a significant achievement and a valuable distinction," said Jon Grodem, Optoma's senior director of product & marketing. "Winning this award sets the product and our brand apart in the market."

The Neo-i, which works with AC or battery power, gives users of digital media players plug 'n' play simplicity for enjoying their audio and video content almost anywhere. Outfitted with an iPod docking station, a 16-watt stereo speaker system, a long-life LED light engine and inputs to accommodate just about any a/v source component, the Neo-i combines the best in portable digital technologies. The Neo-i goes on sale in mid-December with an end-user price of $449.

The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards program is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of the International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. The Optoma Neo-i will be displayed at the 2011 CES, which runs January 6-9, 2011 in Las Vegas.
