  • Reiterating Oracle's commitment to SPARC, Fowler introduced the industry's first 16-core processor, the SPARC T3, and SPARC T3 systems, which deliver highly optimized system performance, efficiency and scalability for customers running mission-critical applications. He unveiled eight world-record benchmark results, running the new SPARC T3 server family.
  • Oracle is increasing its investment in the Oracle Solaris operating system and announced Solaris 11 Express.

  • Oracle Chief Corporate Architect Edward Screven joined Fowler to discuss Oracle's Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, a highly optimized Linux kernel for the Oracle Linux operating system. He discussed Oracle Virtualization, the most complete, open and integrated virtualization offering from desktop-to-datacenter that includes Oracle VM for SPARC 2.0, with advanced virtualization features for the new SPARC T3 servers.
