Orange County Tech Alliance Adds Two to Board of Directors

Wayne Pinnell of Haskell & White and Marc Schneider of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth Join Expanded Board of Directors as OC's Technology Community Expands

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 14, 2016) - The Orange County Tech Alliance, a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting growth and fostering innovation in Orange County-based high technology companies from large enterprises to start ups, as well as the businesses that support them, today announced the addition of two new members of the organization's board of directors.

Previously, Mr. Pinnell served as Treasurer and Mr. Schneider as the chair of the organization's Legal & General Counsel Roundtable since 2013. They will retain those responsibilities in addition to their new roles on the Board of Directors. Mr. Schneider was also elected to serve as the Corporate Secretary.

"With the elevation of Wayne Pinnell and Marc Schneider, the OC Tech Alliance Board has expanded to seven members who help our organization set direction for our expanding membership and Orange County's growing high technology community," said OC Technology Alliance CEO Peter Craig. Mr. Pinnell has been the managing partner at Haskell & White LLP since 2004. He joined the firm in 1995 as a partner in the Firm's Audit and Business Advisory Services Group. As managing partner, he oversees the overall strategic direction and operations of the firm, while continuing to serve clients in his role as an audit partner.

Additionally, Mr. Pinnell is a part-time faculty member at California State University, Fullerton, where he also has served periodically as an officer of the Accounting Advisory Association and is a member of the board of directors of the Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance and the Executive Council at CSUF. He is a member of the Professional Services Reserve of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, and serves in various capacities on the boards of directors for the Orange County Sheriff's Advisory Council; Drug Use is Life Abuse, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana, and Laura's House. In January 2015, he was appointed to the board of directors of The Leading Edge Alliance, an international alliance of accounting and consulting firms of which Haskell & White is a member.

Marc J. Schneider is a shareholder in Stradling's securities and business litigation practices and serves as the firm's general counsel. His practice focuses on complex business litigation and has substantial securities litigation experience including shareholder class actions, derivative suits, merger and acquisition litigation, government investigations and internal investigations. Mr. Schneider has special experience in anti-trust, False Claims Act, and data breach matters.

Mr. Schneider received the Marcus J. Kaufman Jurisprudence Award in 2015 to attorneys for leadership in and contributions to the Orange County legal and philanthropic communities. He was chosen as one of the Top 20 Lawyers under 40 in California by the Daily Journal in 2009. Mr. Schneider was named a Southern California Super Lawyer for 2015. He has also been recognized with the Daniel Ginsberg Leadership Award, a national honor awarded by the ADL to leaders in the fight against discrimination and hate.
