Orbital Insight Hires Chief Business Officer to Support Rapid Growth


PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 4, 2016) - Orbital Insight, a geospatial big data company using machine intelligence to analyze satellite and drone imagery at scale, today announced the appointment of Kevin E. O'Brien as Chief Business Officer.

Kevin E. O'Brien has been working at the intersection of financial services and high technology for more than 20 years. He joins Orbital Insight from FactSet Research Systems, Inc. At FactSet, Kevin led the firm's North and South American operations for hundreds of mid-market clients in the investment banking, private equity and brokerage industries. A seasoned serial entrepreneur, O'Brien's expertise is in identifying and commercializing specialty data, analytic, and software solutions for businesses across multiple sectors.

O'Brien joined FactSet after the acquisition of Revere Data, where he was president & CEO. At Revere, O'Brien led the development and commercialization of new specialty datasets and predictive analytics around company, sector, and supply chain relationship networks across a variety of information-intensive industries, including financial services, Internet search, national intelligence and new index/ETF product development.
