Orbite Added to Russell Global Index

Appointment of Dr. Andre Lemieux as Director of Community Relations for the Gaspe

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 11, 2011) - Exploration Orbite (TSX VENTURE:ORT.A) was added to the Russell Global Index when Russell Investments reconstituted its comprehensive set of global equity indexes on June 24. The new membership lists are available at www.russell.com/indexes/tools-resources/reconstitution.asp.

Membership in the Russell Global Index, means automatic inclusion in the appropriate large-cap, small-cap, all-cap indexes as well as the applicable style, sector and country indexes. Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.

"The addition of Orbite to the Russell Global Index is a distinct honor validating our growing global leadership role in the extraction of metallurgical-grade alumina, high-purity alumina and high-value elements, including rare earths, from locally sourced aluminous clay with low environmental impact," commented Richard Boudreault, Orbite CEO. "We believe the Company's inclusion will further increase awareness of our unique technologies and patented processes globally and in the US in particular, and demonstrates our strong potential for shareholders."

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. The Russel-based index funds will now want to include Orbite in their portfolio. An industry-leading US$3.9 trillion in institutional assets currently are benchmarked to them.

The Russell Global Index, which captures 98% of investable securities globally, is reconstituted annually and all sub-indexes are recalibrated simultaneously to accurately measure current market realities for each market segment. These investment tools originated from Russell's multi-manager investment business in the early 1980s when the company saw the need for a more objective, market-driven set of benchmarks in order to evaluate outside investment managers.

Russell launched the Russell Global Index in 2007, leveraging the popular methodology from its U.S. indexes. The broad-market Russell 3000 Index serves as the U.S. component to the Russell Global Index.

"I am delighted to join an organization of Orbite's calibre," said Mr. Lemieux. "As a fast growing and evolving company, I look forward to playing an integral role in shaping its community-based practices as it moves into its commercial phase with such a game-changing technology. Moreover, wealth creation and employment development in my native region have always been at the very heart of my professional activities. The opportunity and challenge presented to me by Orbite will allow me to pursue that goal head on," he added.
