Orbite Obtains Intellectual Property Rights Relating to the Treatment of Magnesium-Bearing Materials

MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 6, 2014) - Orbite Aluminae Inc. (TSX:ORT)(OTCQX:EORBF) ("Orbite" or the "Company") announced today the acquisition, for no consideration, of patent applications relating to an inventive process for treating magnesium-bearing materials (the "applications"). The acquisition is the result of a universal assignment of the applications in favor of Orbite by Alliance Magnésium Inc. ("Alliance"), a Québec based private company, following the public disclosure of related intellectual property regulatory filings.

Upon learning of the regulatory filings, Orbite advised Alliance the applications were based on intellectual property developed and owned by Orbite, prompting the unconditional assignment of the intellectual property regulatory filings to Orbite, namely U.S. Patent Application no. 61/693,205, U.S. Patent Application no. 61/745,167 and International PCT Application PCT/CA2013/050659.

The Company is actively and constantly monitoring patent regulatory filings with the purpose of identifying applications that may infringe on Orbite's intellectual property.

Orbite's existing extensive IP portfolio, including the newly acquired applications, now consists of 16 families, 12 patents and 96 pending applications
