Orbite Receives Authorization From the Ministere des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune to Extract 3,000 Tonnes of Aluminous Clay

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2011) - In yet another milestone supporting Exploration Orbite's (TSX VENTURE:ORT.A) Cap-Chat operations, the Company is pleased to announce that it has obtained authorization from Quebec's Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune to extract a large bulk sample of up to 3,000 tonnes of aluminous clay over the next 12 months from its Grande-Vallée site in Quebec.

The recent authorization allows Orbite to extract sufficient quantities of mineral substances from its deposit for ongoing and expanded testing under its unique patented process. It also authorizes Orbite to build the required sample product inventory needed to satisfy aluminum industry demand, as well as demand from potential High Purity Alumina (HPA) customers expected in coming months.

"This authorization aligns perfectly with our stated objective of commercializing our products and providing material for prospective customers to evaluate. We are progressing diligently, as planned, and remain on schedule," affirms Richard Boudreault, President and CEO of Orbite.

In parallel with this milestone, Dr. Hubert Dumont has joined Orbite as Director - High Purity Alumina and will help finalize the HPA production phase for the Cap-Chat facility. Dr. Dumont holds a doctorate degree in physical chemistry complemented with more than 15 years' experience in product and technology development in the metallurgical/chemical industry. Additionally, Dr. Dumont is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has been involved within extraction and purification processes with Cameco Corporation (a gold and uranium mining company) and with controlled manufacturing environment and procedures within the pharmaceutical industry. "I am thrilled to play an integral role in the conversion of Orbite's pilot plant to major HPA production facility. I envision immense potential for the realization of this objective," said Dr. Dumont.
