Orbite's Advanced and State of the Art Smelter Grade Alumina (SGA) Projected Plant Keeps Progressing on Schedule

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2011) - Exploration Orbite V.S.P.A. Inc.- (TSX VENTURE:ORT.A) ("Orbite") has selected SMS Siemag AG (Siemag), a leader in hydrometallurgical processes and acid recovery systems, to perform analyses and process design for the acid recovery portion of the Orbite patented SGA process. The experts at Siemag have already familiarized themselves with Orbite's Cap-Chat production pilot facility and have acquired an in-depth understanding of Orbite's final industrial and continuous process design. This phase is expected to be completed during the first half of 2012.

"The process design basis of this type of chemical and hydrometallurgical plant, which involves chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, is an important step in the final design and construction of the large SGA plant planned by Orbite," explained Denis Primeau, Chief Engineer at Orbite. "We assessed a number of specific approaches for the acid recovery and Siemag is currently offering an adaptable approach for our design and process enabling the lock-in of our gains on the energy and cost-efficiency components, thus further minimizing our environmental footprint. "

"Siemag has a track record of innovative approaches and the construction of highly efficient facilities around the world. Our combined know-how in hydrochloric-based processes will further ensure the acid recovery segment of the SGA plant will meet our sustainable development parameters of eco-efficiency, " said Richard Boudreault, CEO.
