(www.orcasystems.com), a fabless RF semiconductor company based in Poway, Calif., today announced a complete DVB-T2/T/C and analog TV front-end reference design for televisions with Orca's ORC5310 hybrid TV tuner and Panasonic Corporation's MN88472 demodulator.
The ORC5310 is a single-chip, CMOS-based, hybrid TV tuner with analog demodulator that can receive both analog and digital signals from either terrestrial or cable networks, worldwide. Panasonic's MN88472 DVB-T2/T/C demodulator IC is a second-generation, low-power device optimized to meet the stringent DVB-T2 D-Book specification. The reference design achieves high sensitivity, good interference rejection and stable reception in multipath environments. The silicon tuner and demodulator can work with two standard voltage supplies, thus simplifying the system design and reducing cost.
