Orckit-Corrigent Doubles Up With Metaswitch MPLS-TP and IP/MPLS

Metaswitch Control Plane Solutions Enable Orckit-Corrigent to Simultaneously Support IP/MPLS and MPLS-TP in the Same Platform

PARIS--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - MPLS & Ethernet World Congress -- Metaswitch Networks today announced that Orckit-Corrigent (NASDAQ: ORCT) has integrated Metaswitch's IP/MPLS and MPLS-TP solutions in its CM-4000 series platform. 

One of the unique value propositions of the Orckit-Corrigent CM-4000 Packet Transport Network (PTN) portfolio is offering dual-stack support for IP/MPLS and MPLS-TP in the same network element. This allows service providers a controlled interworking between existing IP/MPLS deployments and emerging MPLS-TP deployments with flexibility to select IP/MPLS or MPLS-TP per LSP.

Metaswitch's MPLS-TP solution shares a common code base with the DC-MPLS software which has been deployed by hundreds of Metaswitch customers for over a decade. The use of a common code base not only reduces development resources, cost and risk, but also provides an ideal environment for dual-stack support and interoperability between the stacks.
