Oregon Business Magazine Ranks Slalom Consulting's Portland Office #2 Best Small Company to Work for in Oregon

Magazine's List of 100 Best Places Finds Workplace Camaraderie and Company Loyalty Make Office Among Best in Oregon; Slalom Aggressively Hiring to Match Growth in Portland Office

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - March 14, 2011) - Slalom Consulting, a premier business and technology consulting firm, today announced Oregon Business magazine ranked the company's Portland office second among the best small business workplaces in their annual survey of best places to work in Oregon.

The survey results reveal that office camaraderie and Slalom's commitment to showing thanks for employee loyalty and enthusiasm make Slalom consultants some of the happiest employees in the State of Oregon. Employees referenced a social atmosphere and the company's genuine concern for their individual experiences as what makes the firm extraordinary.

"Being recognized by our employees as a positive place to work validates the commitment we have to our local model which encourages our consultants to form deep and meaningful connections with their fellow consultants and surrounding communities," said Damian Smith, general manager of Slalom's Portland office. "We've worked hard to provide our consultants with an environment that encourages innovation, expertise and balance. As a result, we've seen tremendous growth both as a company as well as in our employees."

Over the last 18 months, Slalom added more than 20 new clients in Portland, including most of Oregon's largest and fastest growing companies. As a result, Slalom's Portland office revenues grew more than 50 percent in 2010 and even greater growth is forecasted for 2011. In order to meet the increased demand for its services, Slalom Portland is actively hiring the best and brightest in Oregon and nationally.

This marks the 18th year for the award, with more than 14,000 employees participating in the surveys and benefit reports that Oregon Business editor Brandon Sawyer and DHM Research use to calculate rankings. To determine the size category, companies are judged based on the number of employees working in the state of Oregon.
