Orex Names Jean Lafleur to the Board

ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - April 4, 2007) - OREX EXPLORATION INC. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:OX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean Lafleur to the Board of Directors of the Company.

Mr. Lafleur, M. Sc., P. Geo. (OGQ), is a Professional Geologist with 25 plus years of experience in various capacities in the mineral exploration field. He has worked as a geologist, exploration manager, vice-president exploration and technical advisor for a number of companies in Canada and internationally over career, most recently with Beartooth Platinum, Crowflight Minerals, McWatters Mining and Placer Dome. Since 2003, Mr. Lafleur has been a Mineral Exploration Consultant (as President of PJLEXPL Exploration Inc.) leading several multi-disciplinary teams within number of junior exploration companies in the search for precious and base metals, platinum-palladium, nickel and uranium. He specializes in marketing junior exploration companies and projects to the financial and investment communities. He is also a Director of Eloro Resources Ltd., Champion Minerals Inc., NioGold Mining Corporation, Rocmec Mining Inc., and Pershimco Resources Inc.

Mr. Lafleur has direct knowledge of the Company's Goldboro Project, in Nova Scotia, having been involved earlier in his career with Placer Dome Inc., and lately has technical advisor to the project. He has been instrumental in the project's success to date. Orex shareholders will benefit from Mr. Lafleur's technical expertise and market knowledge as the Company strives in the near term towards higher quality mineral resources and enhanced shareholder value. He will actively participate in the coordination of the Phase 2 exploration program, assisted by Mr. Alex Horvath, P. Eng., of A.S. Horvath Consulting Services.


With his appointment as a director, an option on 200,000 common shares of Orex Exploration Inc. was granted by the Board to Mr. Jean Lafleur on April 4, 2007, at a price of $0,15 per share, good for five (5) years.
