Organic Alliance, Inc. Receives $500,000 in Financing

SALINAS, CA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2011) - Organic Alliance, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ORGC), an emerging grower and shipper of organic-certified, fair trade and conventional fresh foods in the global marketplace, today announced it has recently deployed $500,000 in debt financing to bring its grower obligations into line and to reestablish its shipments of high quality organic and conventional food products. The company used this latest round of funding to support the growth of its supply chain and marketing for its expanding customer base.

"This financing has allowed us to begin delivering a high quality, stable supply of organic and conventional food products at reasonable costs to the wholesale and retail consumer," said Parker Booth President and CEO of Organic Alliance. "As a result of this financing supplied by Thread Master GP, LLC we intend to further expand our supply chain to meet the growing demands of the consumers. This funding is allowing Organic Alliance to continue the expansion of our producer development initiative that will expand the benefits of Organic and Fair Trade production worldwide to producers who are committed to social and environmental responsibility. We are further excited by the number of producers and customers that have indicated strong interest in being a part of the Organic Alliance family. We find ourselves in the enviable position of needing more capital to be able to fulfill our order inquiries."

The Organic Trade Association's 2010 survey shows US organic Food and Non-Food sales at $26.6 billion -- up 5.3 percent from 2008-2009 -- with fruits and vegetable products up 11 percent. "I have seen tremendous growth in consumer acceptance and demand for high quality organic produce for many years. I see natural products as a particularly attractive category and have been active in this space for many years, both as an investor and personally through various enterprises," said Andy Dube, Managing Partner at Thread Master GP, LLC. "Combine this rising demand and consumer acceptance with the entrepreneurial talent and marketing creativity of the Organic Alliance's management team, and we have an opportunity to dramatically reduce the pricing model for organic produce to wholesalers and consumers."
