Origins Partners With Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter KT Tunstall and Virgin Records in First-of-Its-Kind Agreement for Wellness-Based Beauty and Lifestyle Brand

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 19, 2006 --Origins Natural Resources announced today that it has agreed to a collaboration with Virgin Records and the award-winning artist, KT Tunstall. The strategic alliance, which kicks off this month, includes personal appearances, unique in-store music, cross-promotional activities and charitable support of Project Sunshine, a non-profit organization that provides free programs and services to children and families affected by serious medical challenges.

"We are excited KT is a member of our team in this first-for-our-Brand endeavor," says Daria Myers, President of Origins. "Her natural beauty, down to earth personality and commitment to the environment seamlessly reflect the core values that Origins embraces. We are delighted with Virgin Records' innovation and support."

The relationship with Origins also marks Tunstall's first such arrangement with any product or brand name. "I'm so glad to be able to work alongside Origins," says KT Tunstall. "It's inspiring to be involved with a company dedicated to well-being whilst working in complete harmony with the environment. And their stuff rocks!"

Jeff Kempler, Virgin Records Executive Vice President, comments: "Virgin is delighted to have helped forge this three-partner alliance for KT's remarkable artistry and spirit, and the Origins brand." He adds: "Music fans are increasingly discovering and relating to artists through non-traditional channels, and this partnership creates powerful opportunities for them to experience KT's artistry, and to learn about the causes that matter to her on a human level."

KT's debut Virgin album, "Eye to the Telescope," is one of music's true grass-roots successes of 2006. Hailing from the small Scottish town of St. Andrews, of combined Chinese and Scottish heritage, KT's musical inspirations have included Ella Fitzgerald, David Bowie, James Brown, Lou Reed, Billie Holiday and Johnny Cash, among others. Her album's eclectic, inventive and warmly intimate mix of rock 'n' roll, adult alternative and blues attracted instant critical plaudits, and has found a welcoming worldwide audience. Early in her U.S. tour, The New York Times noted KT's "strong voice, that in the same chorus can rasp like a blues mama and giggle like a giddy kid," adding, "'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree'...offers a fresh twist on old folkie blues."

"Telescope" has sold nearly 3,000,000 copies worldwide and has been certified five times platinum in the UK, where the album was first released in early 2005. In the U.S., the recently released album has already been certified gold.

Tunstall won a 2006 Brit Award (the UK equivalent to the Grammys), for Best British Female Solo Artist. She is also nominated alongside Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys in the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, for the album track "Suddenly I See."

"This endeavor gives us the opportunity to introduce Origins to a broader audience," says Susan Akkad, Vice President, Origins Global Marketing. "We are so delighted to partner with KT because she so effortlessly and genuinely embodies the spirit of our Brand."
