NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 17, 2010) - Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas, featuring special guests Anúna, David Archuleta, Méav and Vince Gill, has been released November 16th, this week, nationwide by The Elevation Group. The festive holiday collection includes duets with Órla's former Celtic Woman band mate, Méav, 2008 American Idol runner-up, David Archuleta, and a special version of "Little Drummer Boy," with 20-time Grammy Award winner and country star Vince Gill. Méav's appearance marks the first time she and Órla have recorded and performed together since their days in Celtic Woman. Órla also reunites with Anúna, for the beautifully arranged "Away in A Manger." Anúna is the original choir from Riverdance who Órla sang with prior to Celtic Woman. Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas was recorded in Nashville and Dublin, produced and arranged by Dan Shea, and executive produced by Denny Young, Elevation Group President.

The CD release also marks Órla Fallon's return to public television this holiday season. Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas television special which begins airing nationally Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25th, is a presentation of WLIW21 in association with WNET.ORG -- one of America's most prolific and respected public media providers. Directed by Emmy Award-winner Dennis Rosenblatt, and sponsored in part by Tourism Ireland, Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas was taped at the beautiful James K. Polk Theater in Nashville, TN, and features classic holiday tunes including "Joy To The World," "Do You Hear What I Hear," "I Saw Three Ships," "The First Noel," "Silent Night," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," and more. Country singer Mark Wills joins featured guests for the taping which includes Méav, David Archuleta and Anúna. A DVD of the special has also been released this week in conjunction with the CD release.

Looking ahead, a 50-city US tour, which will run in 2011, from late March through early May and again from late September through mid-November, has been scheduled. "2011 is a big year for us and our fans and we look forward to seeing, speaking with and performing for as many people as possible," stated Fallon. "I plan to work very hard during my time in America to drive attention to public television and to generate funds for these great stations coast to coast. I'm so excited about this TV special; I had such a wonderful time recording it. The audience was fabulous, the guests were fabulous... The choir, the band, the orchestra... It was a dream come true."

David Archuleta commented, "Hearing these songs that you grew up listening to, love and hold close to you... with Órla's voice on them, the way she sings them, it felt very sincere."

"I have worked almost daily over the past 20 months with Órla," commented Denny Young. "She is a wonderfully talented woman who wants nothing more than to bring joy and happiness to people through her music. She is focused, in great form and ready to go!"

The CD is available at Barnes & Noble, Borders, CreateSpace: Amazon.com's media on demand platform, and iTunes.
