Live Webcast: From Retreat Hospital: July 24, 2007 at 6:00 PM EDT (22:00 UTC)

RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwire - July 6, 2007) - On July 24, 2007, at 6:00 pm EDT join surgeons Cary Lofton Gentry, MD and Sean O'Donovan, MD in a live Internet presentation on www.OR-Live.com of the technical aspects of an open total proctocolectomy and total mesorectal excision using Harmonic™ technology.

Drs. Gentry and O'Donovan will present the case of a 79-year-old female with a synchronous hepatic flexure cancer and mid to upper rectal cancer. In addition to the cancer, the patient had more than eight serrated adenomas polyps throughout the colon. After clinical and genetic consultation, the patient underwent an open total proctocolectomy with end ileostomy. The hour-long program will involve a discussion of the implications of multiple colon cancers and rectal cancers, as well as the recent pathological designation of serrated adenoma.

The July 24 live Internet broadcast will originate from Retreat Hospital in Richmond, VA. During the program viewers may email questions directly to the surgeons, which will provide for a dynamic clinical interchange between the audience and presenters.
