Oro Mining Announces Appointment of Vice President Operations

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 12, 2011) -Oro Mining Ltd. ("Oro Mining" or the "Company"), (TSX VENTURE:OGR) announces the appointment of Marco Antonio Galindo Ramirez as Vice President Operations, effective immediately.

Mr. Galindo is a Chemical Engineer graduated from the University of Sonora, Mexico with over 15 years experience in metallurgy process design, development, mining operations and management. He will be based in Mexico where he will be responsible for the Companies Mexican activities.

Mr. Galindo's has an impressive career with Mexican precious and base metals producers most recently as General Manager of Capital Gold's Mexican operations and prior to this with Alamos Gold Corporation where he was Senior Process Engineer and Assistant General Manager. His work history also includes senior positions with companies such as Grupo Mexico (Cananea Mine), Phelps Dodge Corporation (Santa Gertrudis Mine) and Eldorado Gold Corp. (La Colorada Mine); and an active participation during the construction and start up of other mine operations such as Magistral Mine, Minera Fernanda S.A. de C.V. and Grupo Minero FG S.A. de C.V.

Oro Mining also reports that, subject to regulatory approval and pursuant to its Stock Option Plan, it has granted 150,000 stock options to an officer of the Company. The options are exercisable at a price of $0.28 per common share for a period of five years from the grant date, April 12, 2011.
