Orphan Boy Resources Inc.: Appointment of Senior Advisory Group

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 20, 2005) - Orphan Boy Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ORS) -

Management is pleased to announce that the Company has established a Senior Advisory Group, made up of renowned mining professionals, to provide strategic and tactical guidance in maximizing shareholder value. The Group, with management's assistance, will review the Company's mineral property status, its Goldstream processing assets, the advanced stage Willa deposit and the corporate structure in preparing prioritized exploration and development plans.

The Senior Advisory Group Members are:

Peter Bradshaw, PhD, P.Eng.,

President & CEO, First Point Minerals Corp.

Mr. Bradshaw is a geologist with 40 years international mineral exploration experience in over 30 countries with Barringer Research, Placer Dome and Orvana Minerals. He was directly involved with discovery, evaluation and/or advancement of a number of large properties including: Porgera Gold Mine, Papua New Guinea; Kidston Gold Mine, Queensland, Australia; Misima Gold Mine, Papua New Guinea; Omai Gold Mine, Guyana. He is Cofounder and first Chairman of the Mineral Deposit Research Unit, University of British Columbia (UBC). He serves as an Honorary Professor at UBC, since 1990, and he is a Member of the mining industry Technical Liaison Committee to the British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines, since 1998.

Jean-Pierre (JP) Chauvin, B.A.Sc., P.Eng.,

President & Senior Consultant, Chauvin Engineering Ltd.

Mr. Chauvin has 30 years experience in mining operations and construction management. He is presently President and CEO of Patricia Mining Corporation and is involved with the company's development of the Island Gold Project. He served as a Director of Battle Mountain Canada Ltd. and as General Manager of Canadian operations including the Golden Giant mine and the Holloway mine. He served with Noranda Mining and Exploration for several years as Mine Superintendent of the large Gaspe Copper mine, responsible for mining and milling operations. He has served as a Director of the Mining Association of Canada and as a Director of the Ontario Mining Association.

David Dreisinger, PhD, P.Eng.,

Professor of Hydrometallurgy, University of British Columbia

Dr. Dreisinger holds the position of Professor and Chair holder of the Industrial Research Chair in Hydrometallurgy at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Dreisinger has published over 100 papers and has been extensively involved as a process consultant in industrial research programs with metallurgical companies. He has participated in 11 U.S. patents for work in areas such as pressure leaching, ion exchange removal of impurities from process solutions, use of thiosulfate as an alternative to cyanide in gold leaching, and leach-electrolysis treatment of copper recovery from sulfide ores and the Sepon Copper Process for copper recovery from sulfidic-clayey ores.

Ross Glanville, B.A.Sc., P.Eng., M.B.A.,

Principal, Ross Glanville & Associates Ltd.

Mr. Glanville has over 30 years of expertise in mineral valuation, assessment, mining finance, marketing and management of mining companies. During his career, he has provided over 200 fairness opinions for mergers, amalgamations and acquisitions of public and private companies. In addition, he has provided over 500 valuations of exploration and mining companies worldwide in Canada, the United States, Australia, Mexico, Africa, Europe and Asia. He has served as a director of a number of North American mining companies. Mr. Glanville is the principal of Ross Glanville & Associates Ltd., which specializes in valuations of public and private companies and mineral exploration and development properties. The firm also contributes technical and financial expertise for legal undertakings. He has written several articles and given many presentations, related to the valuation of exploration and mining companies. Some of these articles were published by the United Nations, the Society of Mining Engineers, and by various magazines and newspapers.

Arthur Winckers, B.Sc., P.Eng.,

Principal, A.H. Winckers & Associates

Mr. Winckers is a metallurgist with extensive international experience. He worked 36 years with Teck Cominco Limited, most recently as Senior Metallurgist responsible for the assessment and evaluation of mining projects worldwide which included metallurgical aspects of due diligence and project valuation studies, the design and direction of bench and pilot scale process development studies, flow sheets and process design studies, liaison with engineering firms and assisting with the start-up and commissioning of new projects. His work involved major projects including: Collahuasi, Chile; Antimina, Peru; David Bell, Canada; Williams, Canada; Niobic, Canada; Vasilkovskoye, Kazakhstan; Bull Moose Coal, Canada.

Management will announce in a timely manner decisions made as a result of the Senior Advisory Group work toward maximizing the Company's value to shareholders.
