Jean-Claude Menard will speak on the implications of the size and ageing of the Canadian population. He will also discuss aspects of the Old Age Security program, the Guaranteed Income Supplement and the Canada Pension Plan. Furthermore, Mr. Menard will review Government actions to date and forecast future actions to manage the changing demographics in Canada.

The mandate of the Office of the Chief Actuary (OCA) is to conduct statutory actuarial valuations of the CPP, Old Age Security (OAS) program and federal public sector employee pension and benefit plans.
