OSSTF/FEESO Celebrates World Teachers' Day on October 5

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 3, 2013) - October 5, 2013 is World Teachers' Day. This year, we celebrate teachers who educate our students to be better global citizens and to respect cultural diversity.

Ontario is home to citizens from around the world and that makes diversity one of the greatest strengths of Ontario's public schools. Students are exposed to all the cultures that make Canada such a unique and vibrant place to live. And with the encouragement of their teachers and school support staff, students learn the importance of understanding, embracing diversity and working together. It's good for Ontario.
